SAN FRANCISCO, June 03, (THEWILL) – A former minister of state for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, in the early hours of Saturday lost his 95-year-old mother, Wasilat.
The former petty trader, popularly known as Iya Lati, was said to have been ill for a few weeks before passing on at her residence in Isale-Eko, Lagos.
The remains of the late mother of the politician is scheduled for burial by 3pm on Saturday at Ikoyi Cemetery, Lagos, according to Islamic rites.
Meanwhile, politicians, friends and associates have been thronging the home of Obanikoro, who recently mended fenses with ex-Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, to commiserate with him.
