July 15, (THEWILL) — The members of Obidient Movement in Ebonyi State have drawn the attention of their supporters to a conspiracy by members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to hijack their African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition structure in the State.
This was contained in a press statement issued on Tuesday and signed by the duo of Comrade Splendour Oko Eze and Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, the gubernatorial candidate of LP in the 2023 elections, and Members of the National Advisory Committee, Obedient Movement National Assembly Candidate of LP, 2023
They described the hijack of the coalition structure of the Labour Party (LP) by the PDP as misleading and untrue claims by the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), which they tagged as a ‘fractured and fragmented’ party in the State.
They called on members to remain committed and supportive of their shared vision-Obidient Movement.
The statement reads: “The Obidient Movement wishes to reassure our numerous supporters that we remain steadfastly aligned with the Labour Party.
“Recent claims by paid agents alleging the hijacking of our coalition’s structures in Ebonyi State are unfounded and misleading.
“These claims are propagated by individuals from the fractured and fragmented PDP in the state, known for their politics of acrimony and rancorous noise-making.
“We want to assure our supporters that the core supporters of Mr. Peter Obi are well-known and remain unperturbed by these distractions. We appreciate your continued support and dedication to our shared vision”, they noted.
