SAN FRANCISCO, April 13, (THEWILL) – Godwin Obuah, former Chief Security Officer to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, is dead.
According to reports, Obuah died late Thursday at the National Hospital, Abuja, after suffering massive heart attack.
Obuah was dismissed from service after his principal left power and Department of State Services (DSS) had arrested him over allegations that he benefitted from an oil bunkering deal.
He was detained at the headquarters of the agency but was later released as he embarked on hunger strike in protest of his detention.
He denied the allegation but the panel which investigated him was dissatisfied with his explanation and thus recommended his dismissal from the DSS.
