BEVERLY HILLS, August 21, (THEWILL) –Â The immediate past Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon (Engr) Victor Ochei has condoled the Urhobo nation over the death of Major General Patrick Aziza, the President of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), the apex socio-cultural group of the Urhobo nation.
In a condolence letter addressed to the National Secretary of the Union, the Speaker emeritus posited that the late president’s transition becomes more hurting at a time like this, when his patriotic candour, honesty and dedication would have been brought to bear on cementing the existing mutual inter-ethnic relationship within Delta state and Nigeria, as a mechanism for enhancing our nascent democracy.
Even as the legislator expressed shock at the sad development, he urged the Urhobo nation to grieve less but pray for the repose of the departed President’s soul in the Lord’s bosom.
While offering heartfelt condolences Rt Hon Ochei entreated the Almighty God to avail the Urhobo nation the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
