November 21, (THEWILL) – The Ebonyi State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has commended Dr. Michael Okoronkwo, Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, for his exceptional leadership, community development efforts, and humanitarian contributions.

The commendation was made by the President of the group, Dr. Peter Mbam, during a courtesy visit by the group to the institution in Ishiagu, Ebonyi State.

Mbam praised Okoronkwo for his numerous accomplishments, including the procurement of over 15 tricycles distributed free of charge to support the less privileged.

Other achievements highlighted were the construction of a student center, an admission center, new lecture halls, several animal training centers, and the ongoing development of a multimillion-naira lecture hall at the institution’s entrance.

He further applauded the Provost’s efforts in creating employment opportunities for academic and non-academic staff, noting that many beneficiaries had already received their appointment letters.

Recognising Okoronkwo’s contributions, Ohanaeze Ndigbo conferred him with the title Ozuo Oha Nri 1 of Ebonyi State.

Mbam explained that the title was a result of extensive deliberations by the organization to honor the Provost’s remarkable achievements.

In his response, Okoronkwo expressed gratitude for the honor and pledged to continue his efforts in fostering development, stating, “The reward for good work is more work.”

Ohanaeze Ndigbo also paid a visit to His Royal Highness, Eze Gabriel Uzoma Okoro, Odu II of Ihie Autonomous Community, lauding his honesty and steadfastness in promoting societal development.

“HRH Eze Gabriel Okoro has displayed exceptional dedication to the growth and well-being of the Ishiagu Kingdom,” the group noted.

Additionally, Chief Olu Ernest Yar’Adua was honoured for his significant contributions to the advancement of Ishiagu.

The National Youth Leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mazi Damian Okafor, emphasised the purpose of the visits, stating that they were aimed at encouraging stakeholders and Igbo leaders to actively contribute to the development of their communities.
