March 14, (THEWILL) – Galatasaray delivered a commanding performance in the 28th week of the Trendyol Super League, defeating Onvo Antalyaspor 4-0 at Rams Park.
Victor Osimhen emerged as the star of the match with an impressive hat-trick, while Alvaro Morata added to the scoreline with a penalty conversion just before half-time.
The scoring began in the 30th minute when Morata connected with Osimhen following a build-up initiated by Barış Alper Yılmaz.
Morata doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in the 45th minute after a handball by Safouri.
Osimhen found the net again during first-half stoppage time, benefiting from excellent work by Barış Alper Yılmaz, sending Galatasaray into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead.
Osimhen completed his hat-trick shortly after the restart, firing home from the right side of the penalty area in the 52nd minute to extend the lead to 4-0.
The dominant victory allowed Galatasaray to strengthen their position at the top of the league table, reaching 71 points and moving 10 points clear of second-placed Fenerbahçe, who have a match in hand.
Antalyaspor, who had an early penalty claim dismissed in the 15th minute when a shot struck Davinson Sanchez, remained on 33 points and sit 10th in the standings.
The visitors struggled to create meaningful opportunities throughout the contest, with Galatasaray controlling proceedings from start to finish.
Galatasaray will next travel to face Beşiktaş in the 29th round of fixtures, while Onvo Antalyaspor will host Corendon Alanyaspor.
The Istanbul giants will look to maintain their momentum as they continue their pursuit of the league championship with 10 matches remaining in the 2024/2025 campaign.
