July 14, (THEWILL) — Victor Osimhen failed to report for training on Monday when Serie A champions Napoli resumed preparations for the 2025 season, with the Nigeria striker currently in advanced negotiations to complete a permanent transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The 26-year-old forward submitted a medical certificate to excuse his absence from the mandatory medical examinations and physical tests conducted at the club’s training facility, according to an official statement from Napoli.
The striker’s potential departure would end a complicated relationship with the Italian club, despite his instrumental role in Napoli’s historic 2023 Scudetto triumph.
