BEVERLY HILLS, July 11, (THEWILL) – Acting President Yemi Osinbajo should arrive Abuja early Wednesday to preside over the federal cabinet meeting after holding talks with ailing President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday night at the Nigerian official residence in London, United Kingdom.
THEWILL gathered that Osinbajo, who arrived London Tuesday evening for the impromptu meeting with Buhari, held a closed door engagement with the president, who has been in London for more than 60 days treating an undisclosed medical condition.
Though details of their talks have not been made public by the presidency, sources close to the Acting President told THEWILL that both men discussed the state of the nation with regards to the rising calls for restructuring of the federation as well as an independent assessment of the federal cabinet with a likely reshuffle imminent.
The two leaders who were elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress {APC} also discussed the escalating tension between the Presidency and the Senate over the continued retention of Mr Magu as Head of the EFCC despite his rejection by the senate.
THEWILL further gathered that President Buhari charged Osinbajo to exercise his executive powers as acting President fully, assuring his deputy of his unflinching support at all times.
