Osinbajo Meets Senate Majority Leader Behind Closed Doors

SAN FRANCISCO, August 06, (THEWILL) – The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo and Senate Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan, on Monday, held a meeting behind closed doors in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

He was with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Ita Enang.

The meeting started around 2p.m when the duo arrived the Acting President’s office.

The meeting follows the recent gale of defections that have rocked the National Assembly as about 51 lawmakers and three state governors defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki also defected from the APC to the PDP.
