Osun Poll: Saraki, Dogara, Secondus Lead PDP Protesters To INEC Headquarters

BEVERLY HILLS, October 05, (THEWILL) – Leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are protesting against the outcome of the recently concluded Osun State Governorship election.

This was after they had earlier converged at the national headquarters of the PDP in Abuja.

Senate President Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house of representatives, led the protest to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.

Uche Secondus, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto state, are among the protesters who are demanding that INEC declares Ademola Adeleke winner of the Osun governorship election.

Adeleke was candidate of the PDP in the election that was concluded after a rerun but the protesters are demanding that INEC declare him the winner of the Osun election.

Also among the protesters are former Niger State Governor and PDP presidential aspirant Sule Lamido; Senator Dino Melaye, among others.

Wearing T-shirts with inscriptions the protesters claim that the Nigeria Police and INEC are arms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
