BEVERLY HILLS, JULY 20, (THEWILL) – Manchester United have agreed a world record £105million fee with Juventus for midfielder Paul Pogba as the French star is set to discuss personal terms after sealing the deal in Turin.
The red devils have been locked in talks with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiaola all day in an effort to thrash out a deal for the 23-year-old.
Reports indicate that the Premier League club have finally agreed to pay the asking price of Juventus after failing with an initial offer of £90m,
All that is left, before the move is finalised, is for Pogba to agree to personal terms and then sign a five-year contract in a transfer that sees him surpass Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo as the most expensive footballer in the world.
Pogba left United in frustration at the lack of first team opportunities under Sir Alex Ferguson but now returns as Jose Mourinho’s number one target.
Mourinho is currently in Shanghai with the rest of the United squad on their tour of China, but has been kept up to speed with all the latest developments.
Pogba, who has been in Miami on holiday with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, would then link up with the United squad in China after signing the contract.
