BEVERLY HILLS, July 8, (THEWILL) – The remains of deceased pioneer Director of Nigeria’s secret police and a former Presidential aspirant, Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi, the Marafan Sokoto, who died in London, United Kingdom on Wednesday was interred Friday in Sokoto, northern Nigeria.

Shinkafi was buried at Hubbare, the burial place of Usmanu Danfodio and other great nobles of the Sokoto caliphate.

Some of those at the ceremony included the Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal; Borno state Governor, Kashim Shettima; Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar; DG SSS, Lawal Musa Daura; Minister of Interior, Lt Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau; Minister of Justice, Mallam Abubakar Malami; and Minister of State Aviation, Mr. Hadi Sirika amongst other dignitaries.
