Police ‘Block’ INEC Office In Rivers For Security Reasons

Must Read

BEVERLY HILLS, February 14 (THEWILL) – A team of policemen on Thursday morning blocked the entrance to the Rivers State headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Port Harcourt.

The policemen had apart from cordoning off INEC office, mounted a road block on the lane close to the commission as part of security measures.

The early morning blockade may not be unconnected with the planned protest of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State over the exclusion of their candidates from the general election by court pronouncements.
