BEVERLY HILLS, June 4, (THEWILL) – Senate President Bukola Saraki says the police force has asked him to send in a written response to allegations linking him to the bank robbers instead of appearing in person as earlier demanded.
Saraki announced the development in a tweet.
“Following my earlier tweet, I have received the letter from @PoliceNG. They are no longer asking me to appear at any station, but to respond in writing to the allegations within 48 hours — which I plan to do.”
The police U-turn comes after a closed-door meeting between Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the police inspector-general and the director of the DSS in Abuja on the matter.
