Police Recover Burnt Bodies Of 3 Officers, Soldier In Rivers

BEVERLY HILLS, October 26, (THEWILL) – Remains of three police officers and a soldier killed by suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra last week have been recovered by the Rivers State Police Command.

The state Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan made this known during a tour of police facilities in the State.

Mukan said the officers were hacked to death by the IPOB members. He disclosed that the “DPO of Oyigbo Police Station escaped by whiskers.”

Mukan told newsmen that an investigation has commenced on the incident, promising that the command would do everything to ensure that those involved in the dastardly act were punished.

“Comprehensive investigation is still in progress; most of the vehicles you see here are brought by civilians for safe keeping. Unfortunately, they got burnt”, he said.
