SAN FRANCISCO, October 19, (THEWILL) –Â The Police Service Commission, PSC, has ordered the reinstatement of 311 newly recruited officers sacked from the Nigeria Police Force.
The commission reached the decision at the first plenary of its management held on 26th September 2018 and 9th to 11th October 2018 noting that the move to sack the recruits is a violation of the provisions of the constitution of Nigeria.
It therefore directed the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, to dismiss with immediate effect the 201 recruits appointed to replace the sacked 311 recriuts.
Also, the commission stated that the authority to reinstate the 311 officers and reject the appointment of the 201 officers is derived from the constitution and the police service commission act of 2001.
