BEVERLY HILLS, February 18, (THEWILL) – Nigerian political parties can resume campaigns following the postponement of the general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said Monday after its meeting.
Parties can now campaign till Thursday, February 21st, the National Commissioner with the INEC and Chairman, Committee on Information and Voter Education, Mr Festus Okoye, said in a statement.
The two main political parties had earlier insisted on resuming campaigns after INEC postponed the Presidential and National Assembly elections till next Saturday.
