BEVERLY HILLS, October 30, (THEWILL) – President Goodluck Jonathan Thursday afternoon picked up nomination forms of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2015 Presidential election following his adoption as the party’s sole consensus candidate for the position.

President Jonathan who is seeking reelection arrived the party secretariat with Vice President Namadi Sambo, serving Ministers and State Governors elected on the party’s platform.

In a brief speech, he thanked the party for giving him the right of first refusal for the ticket. He also thanked all those that contributed funds towards the purchase of the forms.

Earlier, two Presidential aspirants of the party had accused the party headquarters of denying them nomination forms after paying the fees for the form. They said the party said it printed only one form which it reserved for the President.

The Presidential forms (Expression of interest form and the nomination form), cost N22m.
