BEVERLY HILLS, January 05, (THEWILL) – The scheduled inauguration of the presidential campaign organization of President Goodluck Jonathan earlier slated for Monday morning was postponed due to the demise of the President’s younger sister, Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei.

Political Adviser to the President and member of the campaign organization, Rufus Alkali, announced the development to already seated guests at the ceremony inside the Legacy House, Abuja.

“Mr President has asked me to convey his apologies for the inconveniences this postponement has caused and to tell you it was due to circumstances beyond our control,” Akali announced, adding that the inauguration would now hold on Tuesday at 11.am at the same venue.

Nancy Jonathan-Olei died on Sunday at a Yenagoa, Bayelsa hospital, after a brief illness, the President said in a statement on Sunday.
