August 11, (THEWILL) — The Presidency has refuted reports that President Bola Tinubu is gravely ill and preparing for emergency medical treatment abroad.
A viral report had claimed that Tinubu’s medical team was arranging to fly him overseas after he was allegedly bedridden for several days, leading to the cancellation of key engagements, including the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the report as false.
“There is nothing wrong with the president; he is okay. He can choose to work from home. He can choose to work from anywhere”, Onanuga said, adding that the president’s absence from public functions last week was simply a matter of choice, not ill health.
