August 11, (THEWILL) — The Libyan authorities have arrested two undocumented Nigerian migrants over allegations of drug trafficking.
The suspects were arrested in Misrata by the country’s Counter-Terrorism Forces.
A statement by Migrant Rescue Watch on Sunday night said the suspects were found in possession of hashish, hallucinogenic pills, and cash, believed to be proceeds from the illicit trade.
“Counter-Terrorism Forces arrested in Misrata 2 undocumented Nigerian #migrants on charges of drug trafficking. The individuals were found in possession of hashish, hallucinogenic pills, and cash from proceeds. The case was referred to public prosecution”, MRW said.
