November 06, (THEWILL) – Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, has slammed rumours over his commitment to the club. The Englishman took to social media to deny speculation that he could leave Old Trafford.
His retort comes after a popular fan YouTube channel, The United Stand, questioned Rashford’s dedication in a recent video. The 26-year-old was left out of United’s win against Fulham last weekend. Manager Erik ten Hag claimed Rashford had picked up an injury.
However, some fans have speculated that Rashford may wish to depart United after a dip in form this season. The England international has scored just once in 14 appearances across all competitions.
Rashford called on the fan channel to “stop spreading malicious rumours” over his position at the club. The forward enjoyed his best goalscoring season last year, netting 30 times in all matches.
United are currently preparing for a UEFA Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen this week. Rashford will be hoping he can regain his place in the starting XI. The Red Devils sit 8th in the Premier League table after an inconsistent start under Ten Hag.
