Redeemed Church Mourns Again, Pastor Murdered In Kaduna

BEVERLY HILLS, AUGUST 22, (THEWILL) – The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been thrown into mourning again as gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen, have killed one Pastor Luka Ubangari of the church at Shawa village, near Godogodo, in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Reports indicate that Ubangari was said to have been ambushed, shot and killed while returning from an evangelical visit to Golkofa village few days after Governor Nasir El-Rufai condemned incessant herdsmen killings during a visit to the area.

His death comes less than two months after the death of Mrs. Eunice Elisha, who on Saturday 9th July, 2016, was brutally killed while doing Christian evangelism.

The dedicated 42 year old Christian mother of seven children, was married to a pastor in the Abuja region of the church.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye paid a condolences visit to the full time pastor and his family at their Gbazango Estate, Kubwa residence.

Adeboye expressed his grief and sadness over the gruesome murder and prayed that there would be no more death in that region, for progress in the family and salvation of souls for the perpetrators.

“RCCG shall not cease to pray that God will end bloodshed in Nigeria and all over the world. The church sympathizes with the widower and prays the Lord will restore joy to the family and intervene speedily to make the innocent safe,” he had said.
