Russia Will Not Stoop Low – Putin, Says American Diplomats Are Safe In Russia

BEVERLY HILLS, December 30, (THEWIL) – Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has declared that he would not retaliate to engage in a tit-for-tat with America under President Barack Obama.

Putin was reacting to the decision by the United States to expel 35 Russian diplomats over allegedly hacking the US election.

He said Russia would not “stoop” to the level of “irresponsible diplomacy,” but would work to restore ties with America under President-elect Donald Trump.

Although, the Russian foreign ministry had formally asked Putin to expel 35 U.S diplomats in retaliation which he declined.

Russia has however denied involvement in hacking the US election describing the U.S sanctions as “ungrounded.”

Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, accused the outgoing administration of President Barack Obama of ending in “anti-Russian death throes.”

Obama, who will be replaced by Mr. Trump on 20 January, had vowed action against Russia amid US accusations that it directed cyber-attacks on the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Trump however dismissed the hacking claims as “ridiculous” and said Americans should “get on with our lives” when asked previously about the possibility of sanctions.

He however promised meet U. S intelligence chiefs in order to get updated on the facts of this situation.
