BEVERLY HILLS, CA, November 15, (THEWILL) – A group of ex-militants under the aegis of Ex-Militants Leadership Forum has called for the sack of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Chairman, Presidential Amnesty Programme, Kingsley Kuku, saying he has outlived his usefulness and has become a burden to the Niger Delta and a corrupt risk to the Niger Delta and the Nigerian State.
A statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the group, Diepreye Dikibo, on Friday, urged President Goodluck Jonathan to immediately sack Kuku, alleging that two years after his appointment as Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta,  Kuku has turned the amnesty programme into a hotbed of absolute corruption, reckless embezzlement and rabid display of confusion.
According to the group, “95% of all those who are now sent for amnesty sponsored training have never been part of any armed struggle in the Niger Delta, “ as it cites the case of all those who have just recently completed aviation training in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. “
The group lamented that “ at a time when the Niger Delta seeks for urgent infrastructural development in areas such as the East-West Road, the wastage of funds running into billions of naira that the dubious amnesty programme brings to the table in clearly unwarranted and uncalled for. “
It added that there are hundreds of very inspiring young men out there who can work with the president to strengthen and empower the Niger Delta.
