SAN FRANCISCO, January 22, (THEWILL) – Saudi Arabia’s leader, King Abdullah is dead, Saudi’s state TV announced early Friday morning (local time).
Abdullah, 90, the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, died from pneumonia.
Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, 79, his half-brother has been named as successor.
Abdullah took the throne in August 2005 after the death of his brother, King Fahd.
