Several Killed As Armed Gangs Attack Kaduna, Adamawa Villages

BEVERLY HILLS, June 23, (THEWILL) – Attacks by armed men in Kuriga village, located along the notorious Birnin Gwari-Kaduna highway in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna and Dowayan village in Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State killed a total of 23 persons and left several others with wounds on Friday.

News reports said five persons were killed in Kaduna while 18 died in Adamawa.

THEWILL can report that the two states have had records of attacks by militia herdsmen.

The armed bandits that attacked Kuriga reportedly carted away over 80 cows from the villagers, who are predominantly herders and farmers.

The Spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, Mukhtar Aliyu, told Channels Television that the gunmen stormed the village on Friday afternoon and opened fire on worshippers inside a mosque while they were observing their prayers.
