SAN FRANCISCO, September 09, (THEWILL) – Lt. Colonel Adeboye Obasanjo, the son of Nigeria’s former leader, General Olusegun Obasanjo who was shot during a clash between soldiers and Boko Haram terrorists has been hospitalized at the Federal Medical Centre in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.

Lt. Colonel Adeboye alongside another officer and two soldiers were severely wounded in Mubi, Adamawa State as soldiers battled to take the town from Boko Haram militants.

The spokesman of the FMC, Adam Dodo, who confirmed the development to reporters, said the officer is in stable condition and responding positively to treatment.

Lt. Colonel Obasanjo was shot in the leg during the clash.
