November 29, (THEWILL) — Sunderland mounted a remarkable comeback to defeat Bournemouth 3-2 at the Stadium of Light, with Brian Brobbey scoring the decisive goal in a dramatic English Premier League encounter.
The victory keeps Regis Le Bris’ side unbeaten at home this season and lifts them to fourth place in the table.
Bournemouth started strongly, taking a two-goal lead within fifteen minutes. Amine Adli opened the scoring by converting a rebound after goalkeeper Robin Roefs had pushed Evanilson’s shot onto the post.
Tyler Adams then produced a stunning effort from 45 yards, lobbing Roefs from near the halfway line. Enzo Le Fee pulled one back from the penalty spot before half-time.
The hosts drew level just under a minute into the second period when Bertrand Traore fired home. Evanilson thought he had restored Bournemouth’s advantage but saw his goal ruled out for offside.
