March 16, (THEWILL) –Â As part of the Women’s National Team Celebration Tour, Canada’s Women’s National Team will meet their Nigerian counterparts, the Super Falcons, in a pair of international matches in British Columbia, during the upcoming April session on the FIFA International Match Calendar.
The two-game West Coast series will begin at BC Place in Vancouver on Friday, April 8 and conclude on Monday, April 11 at Langford’s Starlight Stadium on Vancouver Island.
Christine Sinclair’s world international goal-scoring record will be celebrated in front of her home crowd during the first match in Vancouver, according to Canada Soccer. This event was initially scheduled for April 2020, but was postponed due to the global pandemic.

Currently, Canada is preparing for the CONCACAF Women’s Championship in 2022, which will serve as a qualifier for both the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
From July 4-18 in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, the CONCACAF Women’s Championship will be contested and will include eight nations, with Canada and the United States joining six other nations that will be decided through the CONCACAF Women’s Qualifiers in April.
