BEVERLY HILLS, CA, NOVEMBER 04, (THEWILL) – The Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Haruna Tsokwa, 47, died Monday morning at the Federal medical Centre in capital Jalingo, from an undisclosed ailment.
Tsokwa, until his death, represented Takum I constituency in the Taraba Assembly.
He made national headline news when he led majority of the of lawmakers in the Assembly to block a recovering Governor Danbaba Suntai from assuming office when he returned to Jalingo following a year-long treatment abroad due to injuries he sustained from a plane crash.
The Speaker insisted that Suntai had not fully recovered to administer the state.
