SAN FRANCISCO, January 04, (THEWILL) –Â The convoy of Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku was involved in an accident on Thursday at about 5 pm.
A police intelligence officer attached to the wife of the governor, Mrs. Anna Darius Ishaku, has been reported dead.
Two other occupants of the vehicle, a CIB police officer and a nurse are said to be in a critical condition at the time of filing this report.
The accident occurred at Garba Chede axis, along Bali-Jalingo road, Taraba State on their way back from Takum where the Governor spent his Christmas and New Year break, as the vehicle veered off the road when one of the tires got burst.
The Governor, who was driving in the same car with his wife, escaped without any injury as the vehicle involved was far behind on the governor’s convoy.
The corpse of the CIB officer who died in the accident has been deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo; while the injured were receiving treatment at the Accident and Emergency ward of the same hospital.
