
February 10, (THEWILL) — President Bola Tinubu has appointed Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as the Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja.
The agency is the nation’s foremost science hub, responsible for research and development in advanced technology and the operation of Nigeria’s nuclear research facility.
A statement signed on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed that the President also appointed Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael as the new Managing Director and CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
Tinubu also approved the appointment of board members for NEMSA to strengthen technical regulation and safety oversight across the electricity value chain.
The board includes Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez (Executive Director, Technical), Ikechi Clara Nwosu (Chairman, South East), Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris (Member), Igba Elizabeth (Member, North Central), Sani Alhaji Shehu (Member, North East), Adeyemi Adetunji (Member, South West), Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe (Member, South South), and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa (Member, South East).
Additionally, the President nominated Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna State, as Commissioners to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The appointments, which have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation, are part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen leadership in key scientific, energy, and fiscal institutions across the country.
