Ibrahim Gambari

November 25, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has described Professor Ibrahim Gambari as one of the few national icons whose global footprints represented a remarkable asset for Nigeria.

Gambari was Nigeria’s former permanent Representative at the United Nations General Assembly and former Chief of Staff to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.

Celebrating Gambari’s 80th birthday on Sunday, President Tinubu, who was a Special Guest on the occasion, extolled the virtues of the octogenarian as a key player in the evolution of modern Nigeria whose footprints have significantly impacted diplomacy, democracy and national development.

Represented by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the President acknowledged that his legacies will continue to shape the nation’s foreign policy and inspire future leaders.

Prof Gambari pledged to continue his service to the nation.
