July 25, (THEWILL) — On Friday, the Class of 1999 Nigerian governors met with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
THEWILL reports that former Delta governor, James Ibori, led other members of the class to the Presidential Villa.
The Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, made this known in a post via his ? handle.
Although details of the meeting had not been disclosed, it is the second meeting since Tinubu was inaugurated as Nigeria’s President on May 29, 2023.
However, the latest visit may be part of President Tinubu’s ongoing consultations with key political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu also served as the Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.
