October 29, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has launched the 2025 Armed Forces of Nigeria remembrance day emblem and appeal fund.

Tinubu, who presided over the launch of the emblem at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, reiterated his commitment to welfare of men and women of the armed forces. He assured that his administration will continue to strengthen all Nigerian security architecture.

“It will be impossible to promote peace and development without security”, he said as he commended the patriotic commitment of the Armed Forces to Nigeria’s unity, stability and progress

In tribute to fallen heroes, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, announced a donation of N500 million on behalf of the Executive arm of government.

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, followed with a N200 million donation on behalf of the National Assembly, while Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, pledged N50 million on behalf of the Service Chiefs and Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
