May 22, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu on Thursday swore in the newly reconstituted board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited at the State House, Abuja.
The 11-member board, whose appointments took effect from April 2, 2025, is chaired by Ahmadu Musa Kida, with Bashir Bayo Ojulari serving as the Group Chief Executive Officer.
Other members include Adedapo Segun and Bello Rabiu (representing the North-West), Yusuf Usman (North-East), Babs Omotowa (North-Central), Austin Avuru (Non-Executive Director, South-South), David Ige (South-West), and Henry Obih (South-East).
Also on the board are Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance, representing the ministry, and Aminu Said Ahmed, representing the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
The inauguration follows President Tinubu’s major shake-up of the NNPC board on April 2, which saw the removal of former Chairman, Chief Pius Akinyelure, and former Group Chief Executive Officer, Mallam Mele Kyari.
Present at the swearing-in ceremony were the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; and the Minister of State for Petroleum (Gas), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri.
