July 18, (THEWILL) — President Bola Tinubu on Friday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late business magnate, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, in Kano State.
During the visit, the President also sympathised with the government and people of the state over the passing of the renowned industrialist, who died recently at the age of 94.
Tinubu was received at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, alongside top government officials and prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Among those at the airport to receive him were former Kano APC governorship candidate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, his running mate, Murtala Sule Garo, the state APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, and the Minister of State for Housing, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo.
The President proceeded to the residence of the late businessman at Koki Quarters in Kano metropolis, where he met with the family and offered prayers.
Describing the deceased as a man of uncommon integrity and generosity, Tinubu said, “He was so generous, so good, so committed to the great values of our country. He was a great man.”
The President prayed for the repose of Dantata’s soul, asking Allah to grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and comfort the bereaved family.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata died on Friday, June 29, 2025, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
He was buried at the revered Baqiyya Cemetery in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, following a funeral prayer held at the Prophet’s Mosque.
His passing drew tributes and prayers from across Nigeria, with dignitaries honouring his legacy of philanthropy, business excellence, and national service.
