Germany midfielder Toni Kroos – linked with a move to Manchester United earlier in the year – has extended his Real Madrid contract until 2022.
The 26-year-old, who arrived at the Bernabeu from Bayern Munich for a reported £24m in 2014, has scored four goals in 108 games for Real.
The World Cup winner was tipped as a possible United signing by Old Trafford legend Paul Scholes in September.
Spanish newspaper AS claims Kroos’ new deal will earn him £346,000 a week.
