BEVERLY HILL, March 21, (THEWILL) – Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested a wanted Boko Haram suspect, Bubayi Isa, in Kalaa village in Adamawa State, North-east Nigeria.

This was disclosed on Wednesday in a statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, who revealed that the arrest was made following a tip-off.

Chukwu revealed that the suspected terrorist was apprehended by troops of 23 Brigade attached to Operation Lafiya Dole on Tuesday in Hong Local Government Area of the state.

According to him, Bubayi is the 37th suspect on the list of Boko Haram terrorists suspect published by the Nigerian Army Headquarters.

The Army spokesman stated that the suspect was arrested with three others – Muhammad Buba, Abdullahi Abubakar, and Yakubu Abdullahi.

Bubayi, Buba and Abubakar all hail from Panama village, Gunda district in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State while Abdullahi hails from Sabon Gari Gado in Bayo Local Government Area, also in Borno.

He added that the suspects have also confessed of belonging to a Boko Haram terrorist group as well as their various involvement in the activities of the sect.
