SAN FRANCISCO, February 03, (THEWILL) – What would have been a suicide attack on Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, was on Tuesday averted when troops intercepted two bombers at Muna Dalti after they made desperate attempts to infiltrate the city.
While confirming the incident, Media Coordinator of Operation Lafiya Dole, Col. Mustapha Ankas stated in a press briefing that “The suicide bombers were halted but refused to stop. In the process, they blew themselves up.”
He was however quick to point out that there was no casualty other than the two bombers, adding that the entire area has been cordoned off.
