SAN FRANCISCO, 07, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian Army says it has neutralized an attempted attack by Boko Haram insurgents in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital
According to reports gathered by THEWILL, the insurgents made attempts to attack Jiddari Polo community, an outskirt of Maiduguri, on Wednesday evening.
According to the Spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Brig Gen Sani Kukasheka Usman, the insurgents were neutralized by the Nigerian troops who foiled the attempted attack.
“There was an attempt by few suspected Boko-Haram members to attack Jiddari Polo community but the attempts have been neutralized,”Gen. Usman said,
“We are here fully on the ground. No need to panic as everything is under control.
“Some Boko Haram fighters attempted to attack a village far off and our troops ranged them.”
