April 08, (THEWILL) – Inter Milan obtained a crucial 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Allianz Arena.
Davide Frattesi emerged as the hero with his decisive 88th-minute goal, giving the Italian side a slender advantage ahead of the return fixture.
The match began with Bayern creating early opportunities, with Michael Olise firing just wide and Harry Kane directing a header straight at former Bayern goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
Kane later struck the post from close range after being found unmarked by Olise, missing a prime opportunity to put the German team ahead.
