SAN FRANCISCO, February 03, (THEWILL) – With barely three months to the end of his tenure, Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan Tuesday forwarded the names of Sir Tony Obuh and Mr. Charles Emetulu, two former governorship aspirants on the platform of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the state House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners.

Obuh, a now retired civil servant, who served as the Permanent Secretary in Uduaghan’s government house, was the frontrunner in the race to succeed the governor but lost the party’s nomination when Uduaghan, who had earlier backed his candidacy surprisingly jumped ship with just a few hours to the party’s primary election in Asaba.

Emetulu was the commissioner in charge of power and energy before he resigned to join the governorship race.
