October 13, (THEWILL) — Enugu State Governor, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on Monday replaced the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with that of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Government House, Enugu.
THEWILL had earlier reported that the governor would officially defect to the APC on Tuesday.
However, ahead of the formal declaration, Mbah and members of his cabinet were seen waving the APC flag, signalling their alignment with the ruling party at the federal level.
In a video shared on X by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Dan Nwomeh, some cabinet members were seen expressing their support for Mbah’s imminent defection.
Those in the video included the Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Lawrence Ezeh; Chairman of the Science, Technical and Vocational Schools Management Board, Dr. Amaka S. Ngene; and Commissioner for Labour and Employment, Dr. Felix Nnamani.
“We are in the APC now. Jagaban all the way. APC from bottom to top,” they declared excitedly.
