UNIPORT Students Protest New Fees Policy Of Management

BEVERLY HILLS, April 11, (THEWILL) – Barely a week after the University of Lagos was shut down following protests of students, their counterparts at the University of Port Harcourt on Monday morning grounded academic activities in the institution over a new school fees policy introduced by the management.

The protesters totally stopped vehicular and human traffic on the East-West road in protest, stressing that they would not accept the newly-introduced ‘No fee no examination policy’ of the school, which they said was a meant to maltreat them

The students, who were supposed to commence examinations today, vowed to continue with their demonstration until they were addressed by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Sunday Lale.
