BEVERLY HILLS, April 28, (THEWILL) – One of the nation’s commercial banks, Fidelity Bank has reacted to reports in the media regarding investigations into transactions undertaken by the bank in the normal course of business last year.
Stressing that the said transactions were duly reported as required by the regulators, the bank asserted that the transactions are now being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The bank disclosed this in a statement issued by its Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, which affirmed that it is “cooperating fully with the authorities on the investigation.”
The statement went on to “assure our numerous stakeholders, including our customers that we are working assiduously towards a quick resolution of the issues.”
