May 11, (THEWILL) – The Rivers State Police Command has said the deployment of its personnel to the State House of Assembly quarters was a proactive step to forestall any breach of law and order.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko assured the public that there is no cause for alarm.
Contrary to reports of heavy police presence at the Assembly quarters, Iringe-Koko said only four patrol vehicles were deployed there to maintain peace. She urged all residents in the quarters to continue their lawful activities without fear.
