April 17, (THEWILL) – Bayelsa Queens Technical Adviser, Whyte Ogbonda, has rallied behind his players who have already sealed a place in the 2025 NWFL Super Six despite their 1-1 draw to Adamawa Queens away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
The girls from Yenagoa scored first in the 8th minute through Delight Isaac, while Adamawa Queens levelled in the second half by Katon Waken in the 48 minutes.
The Prosperity Girls are still top on the table in Group B with 30 points from 12 matches.
Whyte said irrespective of their draw to Adamawa Queens, he gives thumb up to his players.
“The result wasn’t a reflection of the players’ performance but I have believe in my players to do the needful at the end of the season.
“I’m satisfied with the players’ performance, one thing about football, you win some, draw some and lose some,” Whyte said.
Bayelsa Queens have won nine matches, drawn three and have not lost a game in 12 matches.
Next for the Prosperity Girls is a South – South derby game against perennial rivals Rivers Angels on Wednesday 23 April, 2025, at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
