November 27, (THEWILL) – Barcelona teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal, has been awarded the prestigious Golden Boy Award for 2024, recognising his extraordinary performance in football so far. The 17-year-old forward, who plays for Barcelona, emerged victorious in the annual competition organised by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, beating notable competitors including teammate, Pau Cubarsi.
Yamal’s remarkable year has been marked by significant achievements, including helping Spain win the European Championships during the summer and establishing himself as a critical player for Barcelona. His exceptional talent has been evident through consistent performances that have helped the club maintain its position at the top of the Liga table, demonstrating remarkable maturity for his young age.
The Golden Boy Award, presented to the best Under-21 player in European top leagues, has historically recognised exceptional football talent.
